Dr. John Younker

Common Companion Vet Co. is a high-quality medicine, customer service centered veterinary clinic that focuses on escorting the client through a positive experience with their pet’s medical care. Different than the sterile environment at your typical veterinary clinic, Common Companion will create lasting memories of service by providing excellent care in an engaging environment with caring staff and professionals. Common Companion’s core philosophy is treating animals with the very best care to strengthen the bond they have with their owners. Common Companion is located in the heart of Inman Park in Atlanta, Georgia right on the Beltline.


Dr. Jennifer Dunbar

Dr. Dunbar is a graduate of Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine class of 2000. She is passionate about caring for all animals and is a regular foster for pets in need. Prior to becoming a veterinarian, Dr. Dunbar was an avid dancer and taught ballet, tap, and African dance to children. She lives with her daughter, Esme, numerous fur-babies, and her cockatiel “Flutter.”

Dr. Alex Cox

Dr. Cox is an alumnus of The University of Georgia. She graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. Dr. Cox’s interests include internal medicine cases and improving the human-animal bond. Outside of work Dr. Cox spends time with her dogs, a Boxer (Bishop), and a German Wirehair Pointer (Dixon), watching college football, outdoor actives and spending time with her two sisters and parents.

Dr. Lauren Fultz

Dr. Lauren Fultz graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. She has a passion for Dermatology and Geriatric Medicine. She has two rescue dogs named Sam and Fran and a cat named Rue. When she is not caring for animals, you can find her drinking coffee, reading, kayaking, or throwing pottery.


Dr. Elizabeth Morgan


Dr. Morgan grew up in Atlanta and received a degree in Psychology from Emory University. After graduation, she spent time volunteering and working in a few veterinary clinics and animal shelters and realized her passion for veterinary medicine. She received her veterinary degree from The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh, Scotland. Outside of work Dr. Morgan enjoys running, yoga, riding horses, spending time with her friends, family, her dogs, Gillie and Darby, cat, Buccleuch, and her pony, Mattie.


Dr. Leslie Martindale

Dr. Martindale grew up in Birmingham, Alabama always knowing that she wanted to be a veterinarian.  She received an undergraduate degree from Auburn University in 2016 and graduated from Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022. She enjoys preventative medicine and soft-tissue surgery. Outside of work Dr. Martindale enjoys spending time with her friends, family, and rescue dog named June, trying new restaurants, and bingeing any new Netflix series.


Dr. Mackenzie Gelernter

Dr. Gelernter, or better known as “Dr. G,” is an Atlanta native who discovered her love of veterinary medicine in high school, while working as a veterinary assistant. After spending four years in New Orleans at Tulane University, Dr. G moved back to Georgia and graduated from UGA’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022. She is most passionate about forming close relationships with her clients and patients. In her free time, you can catch Dr. G going to yoga, reading by the pool, and walking the beltline with her fiancé, Frankie, and their Great Pyrenees, Reggie.


Dr. Kelsey Pearce

Dr. Pearce grew up in Germantown, Tennessee and received a degree in Biology from Mississippi State University. She graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022 where she discovered her passion for feline medicine, surgery and building client relationships. Outside of work Dr. Pearce enjoys hiking, yoga, wakeboarding, rollerblading, reading thriller novels, and listening to true crime podcasts. She has a chatty cat, Harriet and a legend of a rabbit, Sir Oliver Reginald.
